Ocuflox (ofloxacin ophthalmic solution) is a sterile ophthalmic solution. It is a fluorinated carboxy quinolone anti-infective for topical ophthalmic use. It contains ofloxacin 0.3% (3 mg/mL) as the main active ingredients. It also contains sodium chloride and purified water, hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide to adjust its pH. It is a solution unbuffered and formulated with a pH of (6.4). Oflox 5ml is used as an ear and eye drop both and used externally for the infection caused by bacteria. It stops and kills the bacteria causing the infections.
It is adviced to the patient who is moderately infected, put these 2-3 drops in the infected areas once or twice a day. In extreme condition, doses can be repeated every after 3-4 hours. If the symptoms persist consult your doctor.
- Oflox ear and eye drop should not be used by someone who is allergic to its composition.
- Pregnant and lactating females need to consult to their doctor before using this medicine.
- If you are sensitive to quinolones or hypersensitive to any medicine consult your doctor.
Keep oflox-5ml at room temperature between (15°C-30°C) away from light and moistures. Keep it reach out of children.
