Montair chewable tablet is an effective medicine to prevent and treat an allergic condition like asthma in adults and pediatric patients 12 months of age and old asthma, seasonal allergies.
Generic Singulair is also indicated for the prevention of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction (EIB) in patients 15 years of age and older. Montelukast is a leukotriene receptor antagonist that blocks substances called leukotrienes. Leukotrienes cause narrowing and swelling of airways in the lungs. By blocking leukotrienes, Montelukast improves asthma symptoms and helps control asthma.
Montair (Montelukast Sodium tablets) is used for the relief of symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis in patients 2 years of age and older and perennial allergic rhinitis in patients 6 months of age and older. It is advised to use this medicine as described by your doctor or read the direction and instruction of its use. Montelukast 4 mg chewable tablets may also be used as an alternative treatment to inhaled Corticosteroids.
- Each tablet of Montair chewable tablet contains 4mg montelukast sodium.
2. Each chewable tablet contains 1.2mg of aspartame.
This chewable tablet is Pink coloured, round, biconvex tablets with beveled edges.
Pharmaceutical form: –
10 mg tablets are available for adults and adolescents 15 years of age and older.
4 mg chewable tablets are available for pediatric patients 6 to 14 years of age.
1:- For adults and teenagers 15 years and older, the dose is one 10 mg tablet taken each day.
2:- For children ranging from 6 to 14 years old, the dose is to be taken in 5 mg chewable tablet once in a daytime.
